Trainer Profile: Mr Phill Bates

Phill is a graduate of Flinders University and holds a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Social Administration qualifications. He has also completed and gained a distinction in the Graduate Certificate of Education, Assessment and Workplace Training.

Phill has extensive experience in the National Transport Industry and was Chairperson of the State Transport Training Advisory Board from 1996 to 1999 as well as being the Deputy Chair of Transport Training Australia in 1999. Phill worked as the Training and Development Manager, TransAdelaide between 1991 and 2000 as well as working as a consultant in numerous transport and management related assignments in Australia, Asia and Britain.

Over the past eighteen years Phill has gained extensive strategic HRD experience in the public and private sectors. His areas of focus include:

Individual and team development, Strategic planning, Public sector training, Leadership development and coaching, Organisational development, Training and assessment, Change management, Developing and running Frontline Management Programs.
